The country\’s only national radio, the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation, SIBC has introduced two new mobile numbers for its listeners to text their concerns or requests rather than calling the land-line.
The aim of the new initiative is to allow alternative ways for people to get their messages heard through radio.
People wishing to raise their issues of concern can now text the numbers 7629600 for Wantok FM and 7600000 for the AM service.
The service is available as of today.
