The Republic of China,Taiwan, Announces a 2 Million dollars Emergency Aid to victims of last week\’s flash floods.
A statement from Taiwan Embassy today says being a long-standing friend of Solomon Islands, the government of the Republic of China, Taiwan, is pleased to assist in disaster relief efforts.
The assistance consists of more than 1 million dollars which is expected to be managed by the government agencies to help them in their disaster relief efforts.
The remaining form of assistance is of a medical team from Taiwan which comprises of two medical doctors and a nurse who will immediately provide health services to flood affected people living in evacuation centers.
Meanwhile, ROC wishes to extend its deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to the families and people affected by the devastating disaster.
