The Solomon Islands Electoral Commission has received a total of three-hundred and thirty-six nominated candidates at the closure of nominations as of Tuesday this week.
Chief Electoral Officer Mose Saitala confirms, of the total, three hundred and ten are male candidates while a total of twenty-six female candidates have been nominated.
Mr Saitala adds, his office does not receive any request for withdrawal of candidates at 4pm today.
