Two Western Provincial Members have resigned to contest the National General Elections.
Ward Member for Noro Billy Veo and ward member for South Rendova George Solingi-Lilo tendered in their resignations.
Communication Officer for Western Provincial Government Brian Beti confirmed a farewell function was held in their honour this afternoon.
\”Billy Veo will Contest the West New Georgia Vonavona constituency, which includes Munda , Noro and the lagoon areas,\” he said.
\”George Solingi-Lilo will contest in the Rendova, Tetapare, and South New georgia.\”
Mr Beti said the Noro and South Rendova wards are now vacant and a by-election should be held soon.
