The Solomon Islands Youth for Change Social movement is encouraging eligible young voters to register for this year\’s national general election.
Team leader, Elwin Taloimatakwa says, the movement advocates for more young people to participate in Politics, Social and Economic Development.
He says it urges all eligible young voters throughout the country to be registered and exercise their right to vote in the coming general election.
Mr Taloimatakwa explains, this year’s general election is very important for the current generation because today’s leaders will determine our future; therefore young people must register to determine their leader.
He says, the movement\’s evaluation report indicates, many young people missed out during the 2006 election because they were not registered.
Mr Taloimatakwa urges young voters to register within the next 40 days and vote during this year\’s national elections.
