The Coral Sea Hotel in Honiara is the Platinum Sponsor for the 2016 Miss Solomon Islands Pageant show.
Coral Sea Food and Beverage Manager, Steve Cameron revealed in a joint media conference with the Director of the Solomon Islands Beauty Pageant secretariat, Joyce Konofilia.
\”So we\’re open nearly a year now, I think November is the celebration of our first year so I thought it would be a really good idea maybe to coincide with the Beauty Pageant and maybe do something together. That\’s why we decided to be the premium sponsor of the event, so to celebrate a year old and maybe to do something good.\”
Mr. Steve says he believes in gender equality and anything to do with modeling, saying promoting women means the development of women.
\”Anything to do with modeling should be about fun, should be about individual development for women, empowering women and I haven\’t lived here a very long time but I believe in equality for women both in the home place and in the workplace.\”
