The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has acknowledged the public for ensuring a peaceful and safe 38th Independence Celebration.
Deputy Police Commissioner Juanita Matanga says, there is no major incident recorded during the celebration.
\”The independence celebration is very quiet throughout the country, no major incidents were reported to the Police from the provinces as well as Honiara. That\’s a very good indication of a very peaceful independence celebration.\”
The Deputy Police Commissioner adds it is our responsibility to ensure peace and safety for ourselves and fellow citizens.
