Investigations surrounding the death of a young man in Kirakira late last month continues in the provincial capital.
Provincial Police Commander for Makira Ulawa Richard Hane told SIBC News, investigators from Honiara are currently assisting Kirakira officers with their investigations.
He says Police has progressed in linking closely with relevant groups in forming a task force to reconcile the parties who got involved in the death incident.
Mr. Hane says at the moment the situation is normal and urged the Kirakira public to allow Police investigations to continue and not to take the law into their own hands.
