The Honiara City Council will carry out awareness programs to people living within the City Boundary to understand that it is illegal for people to develop any land within the city.
Speaking to SIBC News City Clerk Charles Kelly made the remark after HCC officers started issuing notices to people who erected illegal buildings within the City boundary.
He says although certain plots within the city boundary are privately owned, development of these areas must have the approval of the Honiara City Council.
