The witness told the Court he was sitting under Mr Shanel\’s house at Lengakiki when he heard an argument.

He said he went out to see clearly and saw Mr Shanel\’s co-accused Steven Wako assaulting a person.

The witness said he took Mr Shanel away and calmed him down.

Both Mr Shanel and Mr Wako were accused of assaulting a man at Shanel\’s home when the victim was questioning a promise the MP allegedly made to him in 2011.

The trial continued today.
