Participants attending a Green Tourism workshop in Marolaun, West Russell, will form a new Russell Islands Tourism Association.
Eddie Grant reports, a similar association was formed in 2000 but has not been active.
Mr Grant says the Sol Queen Eco-tourism company who initiated the new association\’s formation has promised to work with the Provincial and National Governments to make it a successful one.
He says the Association will be registered as a charitable organisation and draft a constitution under the guidance of Green Tourism Director Michael Tokuru.
The Association\’s President will be elected next month.
