Twenty-eight Police officers from the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) have been promoted.
The officers included two females and 26 males.
They were promoted from the ranks of Sergeants to Senior Sergeants and Constables to Sergeants.
Announcing the promotion Thursday last week, Deputy Police Commissioner Juanita Matanga said the officers went through a tough and lengthy process of interviews to eventually become successful.
She said the officers are the new front-line managers of the force.
