D.C.C TO REHABILITATE SPORTS IN PROVINCIAL LEVELS AND H.C.C

The Democratic Coalition for Change Government will assist Honiara City Council and Provincial Governments rehabilitate existing sports facilities and build new sports complexes.

This is contained in the Government\’s policy statement recently launched.

The Policy document states the government will also review and strengthen the National Sports Council, saying it will review and strengthen the National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands.

The Honiara City Council Act 1999 will also undergo review, adding it will consult the Japanese International Corporation Agency and HCC on the intention to expand, renovate and improve the HCC Central Market in Honiara.

Plans are also in place to establish two new local food markets in Honiara.
