The implementation of the 2017 national budget is a major concern for West Kwara\’ae communities, Malaita Province.
A concerned Willie Kiri said, with the record 4.2 billion budget last year, no tangible developments have been seen in their area.
He adds, the government again passed another huge budget for 2017.
Mr Kiri said, his people are aware that the Ministry of Rural Development has announced a substantial budget for 2017.
He questions the Government\’s accountability in budget implementation in rural areas.
\”He mentioned the Budget is a substantial one, but why are we not feeling any tangible development in our constituency since 2015? We want the Minister to clarify what the 2017 budget can do on the constituency level.\”
